Going into "The Return, Part 15," , we've got a whole lot of unanswered questions, including what, if anything, is going to snap Dougie-Coop out of his stupor. Season 3 of Twin Peaks
has weaved a complex tapestry of inept hitmen, only slightly less inept cops, drug dealers, dirty deputies, cherry pie, ancient symbols of evil, lots of electrical humming, red balloons, doppelgangers, alternate dimensions, muddy timelines, assorted numbers with special significance, bungled assassination attempts, countless Easter eggs, even more red herrings, a zombie, drug cartels, gangsters, a golden shit shovel, a killer alien, foreboding dreams, body parts that don't match the time of death, a mysterious billionaire, the Black Lodge, the White Lodge, the Fireman, a small town with a big drug and prostitution problem, missing members of a supernatural task force and a whole lot of other components that haven't quite come together.
We're still waiting and wondering and prophesying how all of this harkens back to Laura Palmer, who is at the epicenter of it all. So let's jump in and see what David Lynch throws at us in this episode, which may answer some questions while posing a whole bunch of new ones.
